Overhaul of an asynchronous motor

A Norwegian customer from the steel industry commissioned us to repair an asynchronous motor. Since the pillow block machine was too wide on the frame, a heavy transport had to be commissioned. After the diagnosis, it was determined that, in addition to the stator winding, the sleeve bearing, the converter and the anti-condensation heating were also defective. The challenges in procuring spare parts were great. Nevertheless, after a final no-load test, we were able to deliver the engine back to the customer six months later.
