EXPRESS REPAIR OF A SYNCHRONOUS GENERATOR

After a generator fire on a ferry, it was crucial that the repair be completed as quickly as possible. We picked up the generator with a weight of 34 tons from the shipyard in Denmark on 26 December 2019. In cooperation with Siemens, we performed the following services, in addition to the special transport: Disassembly, cleaning, and drying of the main components, electrical check, mechanical check of the bearing components (bearing shells, shaft ends), assembly, and test run. Despite the tight time schedule, everything went according to plan, and the generator could already be returned on 2 January 2020.
