Where are accelerator magnets used?
A particle accelerator - regardless of whether linear or ring accelerator - is a highly complex system and comprises thousands of components. In addition to power converters, particle sources, control system, and vacuum chambers, electromagnets are an essential component of particle accelerators.
The electromagnetic field created by particle accelerators interacts with the particle beam to keep it in track and to focus the particle packages.
